Ministry

The focus of the Ministry Commission is to encourage closer fellowship and to promote mutual understanding among the members of the church. This is accomplished through various means including the coffee fellowship, social gatherings, and the newsletter. Our goal is to make the church a welcome and comfortable place for folks to gather and share. Coffee fellowship is the time immediately following the worship service on Sunday morning. By providing coffee and tea the Ministry Commission hope that people will take a few moments to visit before heading home. The newsletter is the main tool used to keep everyone informed of church happenings and to make folks feel connected to the church family. Other special events and programs held at St. Matthew have included a Valentine's Day Dinner, a Pig roast (held in conjunction with the spring work day), a Church Picnic, and the longstanding Dinners of Eight program.
