Comprehensive immigration reform: Ask your Senator to introduce a companion bill to the Gekas SAFER Act

Rationale
Rep. George Gekas (R-PA) has introduced H.R. 5013, the SAFER Act of 2002. This legislation would significantly lower legal immigration numbers by implementing many of the immigration-related reforms of the late Barbara Jordan's U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform and former Senator Timothy Wirth's President's Council on Sustainable Development. H.R. 5013 would eliminate the diversity visa lottery and end chain migration. While the bill is gaining cosponsors in the House, no companion bill has yet been introduced in the Senate. Send a fax to your Senators asking them to introduce a companion bill to H.R. 5103.
